Women’s Retreat-March 9-11, 2012

Theme-Anchoring Our Hope in Christ
The Cornerstone Women’s Retreat Team is looking forward to a wonderful weekend with you! We will be in the beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains for a time of refreshment and renewal as we explore "Anchoring our Hope in God."

Psalm 42:1 “As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God.”

What is it that you are longing for? What do you reach for to meet your needs?  We will see how the Lord desires to be what satisfies our deepest desires.  We will focus on how we become anchored in God so we can live in Hope?

This weekend we will be delving into Psalms 42 & 43 to answer these questions and many more. It will be a time of cleansing, encouragement and anchoring our Hope and Joy in Christ! We will go to God’s Word as we look at some truths about the person of God, learn to put our Hope in God, and understand Joyful living in God’s Light and Truth.

Mt. Hermon Christian Conference Center
Mount Hermon is a beautiful facility nestled in the Santa Cruz mountains, offering a book shop, espresso cart, soda fountain and wonderful recreational opportunities including a fully equipped fitness center and indoor recreation.

Featured Speaker Jean Murphy
Jean Murphy is an inspiring speaker who integrates the message of Christ's joy and hope each time she speaks.  Through her journey in life, the Lord is teaching her to live With, In, and Through (W.I.T.) Christ.  God has called her to share this simple, yet life changing message, in a very practical manner that is grounded in Scripture.

Jean and her husband have attended Cornerstone for the past 15 years.  She began speaking at retreats ten years ago, both locally and as far away as Poland.  She speaks to all age groups as her love for Jesus, her desire to know Him more intimately, and the joy of walking with Him draws others to Christ.  She is the author of the monthly Heart Group devotional study used by the Heart Groups at Cornerstone.
